The Birth of the Feranyi

Luminous beings are we of the Feranyi, born out of light and chaos in the heart of the golden sun. We are in truth celestial spirits, by our makers given forms of shimmering flesh, and sent by silver moonlight into mortal realms to make a place for ourselves in the world, to serve as a shining example of all that man might one day hope to become.

We are the essence of love. We are a beautiful race. Peace and harmony are the gifts we bestow, even unto gods as well as men. For the gods have walked among us, and chosen from among us many spirits to be raised up amongst them.

We of the Feranyi are the children of gods, and also numbered among their wives and husbands.

Where the sun is light, the moon is chaos. And we of the Feranyi are of both. Our birthplace is the sun, the lessons of life are learned upon the earth, and by the grace of our lords Luminos and Keats, it is to the moon our spirits soar when at last our time is done and our flesh is set aside.

What a perfect world is the moon, where mortal man has yet to tread, full of life and love and glory, with pristine forests and boundless plains and pure and rolling seas. It is a luminous world meant for luminous beings such as we.

But the moon is ours only if we earn that glory here upon the earth. If peace is to be ours in the hereafter, we must prove ourselves worthy of peace in the here and now. The Feranyi must be a race of peace. We must teach the sons of men to value the light, to seek after love, to take delight in the chaos of the human condition, to find wonder in all the myriad manifestations of the divine that exist in the world.
