The Saga of the Fire Orcs

Chanted by the High Umpah Fire Orcs Shaman, Thunk-thunk

In the Beginning, the major gods came together to populate the New Earth. Thus did the feral Fire Orcs come to populate the world. From the mighty Yultan, God of Fire and Earth, did the Fire Orcs learn the Fire of Life, to Lust after New Things without End. From the Fierce Fury, God of War, did the Fire Orcs learn savagery and love of Combat, to love their enemies as they crushed them underfoot. And from Cold Mordak, God of Death, did the Fire Orcs learn to embrace the chill sweetness of Death, to live short, brutal lives, and to die as violently as they did live.

And the Fire Orcs looked out from their mountains, and did see the promised Earth. And down from their mountains did they swarm, in their countless numbers. And the Fire Orcs did begin to believe that they did not need their patron gods, so easily did the World succumb to their desires. And the Fire Orcs did think that they did not need to live lives of short, unending violence, as their gods had intended. And so did the Orcs bring forth architects, and cooks, and interior designers. And so did the Orcs raise up a mighty tower, which they did furnish with soft carpets, exquisite furnishings, women and other unneeded luxuries. And the Orcs did move all of their architects, cooks and interior designers into the tower, so that they may prosper, and multiply, and create yet new towers, so that all the Fire Orcs may live soft lives.

And the gods were greatly displeased, for the Fire Orcs had dared to turn from their destiny, and to defy them. And so Yultan, Earthforge, The First God, Maker of Worlds, Eldest of the Eternal Twins, did reach out His hand, and call forth the Blessed Fiery Rock from the Earth’s core. And the Lava did burst forth, filling the Orcs Tower of Luxury with burning rock, and so did all of the Fire Orcs architects, cooks, interior designers and unneeded women burn up, like little candles.

And so the Orcs were driven back out into the wilds, and behind them the rock did cool, leaving behind them the giant, lifeless monolith known as Yultan’s Promise. And then the Final Patron of the Fire Orcs, the lofty Luminos, God of Light, did teach the Fire Orcs Truth, so that they would never again forget their true Destiny.
