THERE ARE TWO (oops ONE) NEW ACTORS at the end of that section.

***Directors***

***Cicero Marcus Otto Tamerlane (C.M.O.T.) DeMill(Scott Martin): Flamboyant
younger brother of Cecil B. Demille, who took over his brother's production of
"Gone With the Wind" after Cecil suffered a mysterious and debilitating
accident. CMOT's final version--"Blown Away"--was a tale of love and betrayal
in a world gone mad, with a thousand elephants! It was a critical failure,
but a popular success.

Nominated film: "Antony and Cleopatra: a tale of love and betrayal in a world
gone mad, with a thousand elephants!"

Future project: "Eden: a Tale of love and betrayal in a world gone mad! With a
cast of thousands And a thousand elephants!"

***Herman Alman(Victor Wood): An eccentric genius known for films that win
heaps of critica acclaim and industry awards, but flop in the box office.

Nominated film: "Flashman!the misadventures of Henry Paget (Flashman), a
British soldier inIndia. (Comedy / War)

***John A.Vanderoff (empirefilm@aol.com): A director since the early days of
Edison's original studio, the frail Vanderoff has made numerous acclaimed
silent films of all genres.

Nominated film: "The Long March Home", a dramatic talkie depiction of the
emotional and physical aftermath of the Great War.

***William Sizemore (Eric Spuur): This hot new director's last effort was a
disaster, but there are good odds that his current project will live up to the
promise shown in Sizemore's first (and nominated) film.

Nominated film: "Piece of the Action", a gangster film.

***Irving Thalberg (Pat Mannion): Beloved and revered God of MGM, taking a
turn out as a director.

Nominated film: "Casablanka" (Film Noir Creature Flick set in Morocco)

***Morgan Strauss  (Aristofnes@aol.com): Popular director of musical comedies;
"Scrolls" is a departure from his usual oeuvre. Widely reputed to be a
homosexual drug-addict.

Nominated film: "The Scrolls of Tahr Nah!" (Film Noir Action-Mystery)

***Actors***

***Warren Williams (Ian): Box-office powerhouse, ladies' man,
scene-stealer, and infuriatingly egotistical member of the Holllywood elite.

***Julian Dent (Jay Negro): a suave, intelligent hero from the serials. His
fans are dazzled by the American aristocratic background that he gave up for
the theater. Frequently in the gossip columns over various sexual pecadilloes
involving rich and famous ladies. Nominated for his role in his first
feature: "The Scrolls of Tahr Nah!"

***Daniel "Lucky" O'Connell (Brian McInnis): Gangster-hero of several films.
Very personable, but there are hints that his roles are not much of a stretch
for him.

***Cary Grant (Mike Donahue): smartass, charming, snake oil salesman turned
actor. Romances multiple women. Usually sloshed.

***Edison Bartholemew (Andy Ashcraft): young, somewhat foppish man used to
performing character parts.

***Charles Godfrey (Ferret Baudoin): Slick, sharp, private dick type fond of
trenchcoats and film noir. Almost always the characters he plays are the canny
but near broke type, filled with bitter remorse at the unfairness of life but
who follows an unwaiverable code which usually results in getting trapped by
his own nature.

***Frederick Houston IV, (that's ) (Dave Yarden): A retiring fellow,
nice enough chap, rather long in the tooth, as they say, but quite all right.
A bit of a "has been" you might say, but *don't* say I told you.

***Ivan Rastov (Phil Adler): A Russian actor, acclaimed in his homeland, who
has mostly been stuck doing monster roles in Hollywood. Recently had a
breakthrough part in "Wings of Victory" a film about fighter pilots in WWI.

***Reginold Smythe (Steve Vincena): Young Shakespearean actor, known better
for his over-acting. Slightly unbalanced, which may have contributed to his
current critical acclaim.

***Harvey Hummel (David Sanda - everard@netcom.com) : Pudgy and growing
pudgier comedic actor,Harvey's a grump with a hatred for children.
Formersilent star who had trouble making the transition to sound, he is
getting popular again.

***Actresses***

***Janine Samuels (Judy Goldstein): elegant and secretive actress, known for
strong leading lady roles. Her confirmed bachelorettehood has spawned
numerous rumors...

***Selena L'amour (Cheryl Vuong): Well-established bit-part and B-movie
actress. Recently, she has had some success in larger roles. She wants more.

***Vivien Glade (Lesley Mathieson): Hardworking and glamorous actress who
clawed her way from being an extra to being in serials to being in features.
She has a supporting role in "The Scrolls of Tahr Nah!"

***Louise Labella (Carrie Finison): Out of nowhere Best Actress nominee. In
her first role, the lead in "The Scrolls of Tahr Nah!", Louise stunned
audiences with her silent performance, conveying a wide range of intense
emotion through movement and facial expressions. Largely a mystery, she is
somewhat resented by other actresses for not having 'paid her dues'.

***Linda Merser (Suzi Casement): A sensational singer who has had difficulty
making a transition to film (from a succesful radio career) because of her
plain features. She has made a few musicals and has a goody-two-shoes
reputation.
