Starfire
Introduction

Starfire was a strategic level "role-playing" game in which the players played nations rather than individuals. Starfire was based very loosely on the game of the same name by Task Force Games.

The Enigma Starfire game ran for nine turns in 1991, covering the future of humanity from A.D. 2850 to A.D. 2858. The gamemasters were Scott Martin, Sean Young, and Eric Spuur. The players who contributed material were Pat Mannion, John Thompson, Phil Adler, Brian Tatosky, Steve Mandel, Ben Hitz, Joe Mafi, Rob Wiese, Chris Winslow, Michael Reed, Randy Braun, and David Altman.

Background material for the Starfire game includes:

In addition to individual player turn results (which were not saved), each turn produced an issue of the "Starfire General News", written as a news summary of the year's events.
