Bella Noche was a thriving world colonized by the Catholic Church. A desert world which was also poor in minerals, Bella Noche at first proved to be a harsh world--70% of the initial colonists died in the first year. However, irrigation and planting allowed the colonists to overcome the planet's harsh environment and form a healthy if low technology civilization with high hopes, especially considering that there was a virgin world right next door. (The initial colonists had not settled on Lumina due to the large and dangerous predators which roam its surface.) However, no transmissions have been sent from Bella Noche since 2651, and no one knows the fate of the colony.
